I contacted the Support to ask features on the App and I never heard back from them not even a email saying thanks you for your email. If a could I would ask I money back ! No iPhone and iPad portage. Only good thing the iCloud sync.

Ive given some time to think about this review and I believe its the right thing to express my opinion about MOAPP programs and the creator Michael. I bought the MOAPP recipe program so that I could keep my recipes in place by pulling them from the internet. There is a problem that exists where the image online cannot be dragged into the program. So I sent the troubleshooting email in which it also requested that if the problem could not be solved that I would like a refund. I was not rude at all in the request. As you might imagine, a recipe without a photo is not so great. Michael responded to me in a tirade, calling me a three year old child and asking what the hell are wrong with you people and if I always act this way. He then answered my question begrudgingly and responded as if he was forced to put on his professional persona. The solution is to take the image and drag it onto your desktop then drop it into the image location. I dont like being spoken to in an negative way, especially if I just spent money purchasing the program and it doesnt work the way it should because the developer didnt figure out how to make the program correctly (or in this case, as advertised). I have purchased the program but Im no longer interested in using it, no matter how good it is or will become. Its a matter of principle, simply this "dont bite the hand the feeds you". If you are interested in a better program for saving recipes, try Evernote. With ONE click the entire webpage and multiple images can be saved in a folder that you can access on the internet, on your iphone or ipad. There is a plug in for both Safari and Firefox. Best of all, its FREE and you can also save other webpages, PDFs and other articles of interest. I dont believe in spreading negativity nor am I a vindictive person, but I do support consumer advocacy. In the internet marketplace and in all aspects of business, the companies that do good and feel good about doing it are the winners.
Hi, I just wanted to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed this app and have been adding recipes and photos to it. It is great to keep all my recipes together in a neat little app. I have had no problems with it or the creator. In fact, the one interaction I had with him was absolutley great. GREAT APP, must have for collecting your recipes and sharing with others. The only thing I dont like is not being able to select the size of the picture when printing. Other than that its fantastic.
After having tried a number of similar apps this, by far, has worked best for me. It is simple to use and a GREAT way to manage my recipes. I particularly like the Cook View which has a nice and clean visual look to it. Although Im just one lone voice, I would recommend this app for anyone who is interested in digitally organizing and managing their collection of recipes. The only negative I have - and it is, I readily admit, nickpicking - is that I do not like the apps logo. I find it to be too simplistic and a bit bland, not the best way to represent the quality of the app itself. Other than that, I LOVE it and use it, quite literally, everyday. Great job!
I bought this app so that could store my recipes but I was annoyed to find out that I can only do this if I type every recipe into the app. Thats crazy thats why theres scanners, for that reason I find this app a waste of money.
I opened the app, there were no recipes inside but then again what is the point of having recipes you dont like, so I clicked on the recipes website within the app and immediately started to download one into the app. It did everything but the photo, which I clicked "edit" and dragged the image into the app, it worked wonderfully! I have an OCR program for converting type written text back to computer type for helping me import lists of recipes. I own Macgourmet I think this app also is very good.
I was enjoying using this program until I created a new category and wanted to move one of my recipes into this new category. There’s no move button. I tried clicking on the recipe and drag-drop to the new category: there’s no drag-and-drop! I then tried deleting the new category, and there is NO WAY to delete a category! You can only delete recipes. Suddenly the usability of this program has dropped to almost 0. I’m going to chuck it and buy another one. Argh!
I have been using the app for a few years and I love it. So easy to use. I will give it 5 stars once the iPad and iPhone apps are released. My only complaints are that I can’t just import recipies from websites and that I have to copy/paste my ingredients into my notes app to be able to access them on my iPhone when shopping (I know that I could print out the recipe and take that to the grocery store, but I don’t want to waste the paper when I always have my phone with me). Two features I would love to see in the futre would be: 1. The ability to generate a grocery list based on a recipe or group of recipes. 2. Meal planning so I can set up my weekly meal plan in the app.
..cant enter cost value. There is program error "The value XXX is invalid". Any idea?
Four months I scrupulously have filled up all my recipes. Now they gone!!! disappeared!!! What going on????
I begrudginly upgraded. Read reviews and had all recipes in PDF format..just in case. Luckily no recipes lost. For the most part the app does what I need it to do, stores my recipes. My complaint is that I can not seem to find a way to move a recipe from one grouping to another..eg French Onion soup went in to “Pastas" and I want it “Soups”. After many attempted contacts to Support, which does not exist, I just rewrote/copy-pasted the entire recipe into a new card in Soups. So my question, is there actually any customer support for this App?? I paid for the app, so I would hope there is. Tried their support link, “No server found”. Wrote Michael - creator of app, I guess. Got a cute email back about his cat keeping him busy, but never a response to my question. Customer support, do you exist?
This is a great piece of software. It needs an iPad app to along with it!
I like the app but fact that I cant upload photos is a real draw back. There on-line manual is of absolutely no help.
I just downloaded and added my first two recipes. This app is better than another recipe program, which I paid 49.00 for, many years ago. I was required to pay for an upgrade so I decided to look for cheaper alternatives. This is the one! I was easily able to add photos. I see that other reviews had trouble with this. It worked the first time for me. I saved my pic to the desktop and dragged it into the space provided. EASY. I am very happy with this and glad that I did not pay more to upgrade my program. Thank you and keep up the great app!
I just downloaded this app and uploaded my first recipe. It took me quite a while to figure out how to upload a photo (the online manual is NO help whatsoever!). I had to come back to the app store to check out the photos…one is a hint about dragging the photo from your desktop to the edit screen. This is the only way I can see to upload a photo. It will take me quite a while to get all my recipes loaded, but once that chore is taken care of, I can see this being a VERY useful app!
Very easy to use. Would love to have an iPad app to use with it.
Does not respond to questions. Says will reply in 24 hrs. Not true. Been about eight days. Still no response 6 weeks later
I couldnt import from MasterCook or AllRecipes, but because the ingredients and directions frames are not highly formatted, copying & pasting was simple. I havent had any trouble with the app and like the cook view. I would recommend this app.
Great app, very organized and easy to use. Does exactly what you would want from a recipe app!
I really like this app. It is easy to use, I have only two problems with it. I cant figure out how to add a picture and I really would like an app for my Ipad so I can take the recipes with me.
