I love this app so far. It has been able to do everything that I want. So far, Im emailing myself a recipe and then retrieving it on my iPad in the kitchen because my computer is not in the kitchen. I am very anxious for the ipad version….please hurry! I would like to travel with my recipes. It would be awesome if the app can be icloud compatible!

This application is perfect for college students. We are always on our laptops, and most of us are not yet confident enough in the kitchen without instructions. Reciepes makes it easy to follow recipes on your computer without having to scroll through a webpage or read around annoying advertisements. So glad I purchased this!

I bought this app and I can put the recipes in and email them but I can not print them and I emailed the developer and he asked me to email him the recipe that I needed to print, which I dont understand because I want to be able to print all the recipes I put into the program as I use it, not just the one I am trying to print right now. That was the purpose I bought a program that said I could print the receipts!

I had the same problem, where I had added about 30 recipes and opened the app a week later and everything was gone. I contacted the developer but never heard back. Also, there still is no IPad or IPhone version, which makes it a lot less useful. In my opnion, a waste of money. Update your app!

MyRecipes kept track of all my recipes and suddenly it disappeared on my computer compelling me to download the new version of the program. I wrote to the app creator telling him the program disappeared along with all my recipes. He sent me an incomprehensible message basically dissing meand my question. Ultimately I bit the bullet and purchased the new program. Unfortunately ince Recipe was installed I have been unable to open it without the program crashing. My hope is that downloading it again will fix the problem. I am also hoping that if and when it does open properly it will locate all those reciepes I input into the previous program. I will follow up when I remove the Recipe program from my computer and reinstall it. Ok it is now 2013. I have reinstalled the program. None of the original recipes can be imported into the program. His Support page gives no hint of how one might accomplish this task. In fact the website states under Tips and Tricks: "I am sorry - but I simply didnt had the time yet to write this tips and tricks section…" I plan to uninstall the program again. Too worried that something else will disappear from my computer. Good luck all.

This app is simple and inexpensive. Very minimal user manual, altough you probably dont need much for this app. Fast customer support. The thing I dislike the most is that once youve added a recipe to a group theres no way to change it.

Love this app, but wheres the iPad and iPhone companion apps!? If they dont come out soon, I may have to find a new recipe app that allows me to view/edit my recipes on my iPad and iPhone.

With all of the positive review, I figured the few negative reviews were just odd cases. But I too entered some recipes…then when I came back to the app later. They were all gone. Emailed the seller and never got a response. Very disappointed I just spend money on this app. Wish I could get a refund. The layout is exactly what I want. But if it doesnt save recipes the app is useless

PLEASE - DONT SUPPORT THIS APP!!! YOULL ONLY BE DISAPPOINTED. Despite the reviews I read about recipes being deleted, I went ahead and bought this app anyway. I thought that it must have been a fluke when it had happened once or twice to someone else, but the exact same thing happened to me that happened to others. After spending hours typing in about 15 original recipes, I opened my app one day and all of my recipies were just GONE! I went back and forth with the developer for a few days by email, and eventually he stopped responding after giving me no actual guidance or assitance. He basically said that because I didnt back up my work to the cloud, there was nothing I could do. I still dont have my recipes and I feel really terrible about it. Nor have I been able to get my money back either…. not that I really care about the five dollars - WHAT I REALLY WANT ARE MY RECIPES BACK! :(

I sat here for the better part of the day entering recipes, only to come back to my computer tonight to find theyre GONE!!! Just diappeared ! vanished !!!! I use "The Recipe Box" on my iPad and iPhone. Guess Ill just wait until that app is available on my Mac because at least my stuff doesnt disappear from "The Recipe Box"

I have written for help numerous times and have never had a reply. Once you have written a recipe and want to move it to another folder there is no obvious way to do so. In addition, I am unable to print entire collections, only single recipes. And did I mention I can not copy the recipes and then put them in another folder? Overall this is app is a huge disappointment.

This app is great for home use. I can copy and paste a recipe so that makes it very easy to add a recipe that looks good. I would just love to have an app for my ipad and iPhone so I can have it with me when Im at the grocery store so I will have the list of ingredients with me, but I havent found another app that is as easy to use. I love that I can also add my own recipes.

After an update I lost most of my recipes and when I try to view one of the few I have left, it will switch to another recipe within 30 seconds. I lost hundreds of recipes I was collecting to create a cookbook for my kids.

I’ve had this app for a while, and it was great! Then today, I opened it, and there is NOTHING THERE! All my recipes are gone… :-(

Do Not Buy This App! I had been using it for a couple of years. Stored a lot of recipes. Then one day I open the app to look up a recipe and NOTHING! All my recipes disappeared. Very dispopinting and frustrating. I switched to Paprika.

SO frustrating. Spent a long time comparing different recipe organizing apps and settled on this one, thinking the recent update would fix the disappearing problem other users reported. IT DID NOT. After just one day with the app, all of my recipes suddenly disappeared. Do not get this app, it’s not worth the money.

I was always a big fan of this program. But when I updated my computer to Yosemite all of my recipies dissapeared. After a brief email interaction it seemed like all hope was lost at retrieving them. I’m sure I could rebuild my recipe library again but now I’m kind of mad at the program.

I wrote the creater and nothing my receipes are gone and I have no help please help…...

I’m using the program for a pretty long time. Couple years or so, and even not all features were working correctly, I kind of liked it and was not searching for replacement. Search in the program was always kind of inconvinient thing, but I was not blaming it much. But recently I as searching for some recipe, and it didn’t exist. I decided to add it and this thing completly removed all my recipes from the category. Guys, you cannot release products with bugs of this kind. I was creating my collection of recipes for a long time and loosing it because you are not testing your code is very frustrating. I emailed the creator using help system, but I got back some automatically generated email and ignorance. Thanks to my backups and knowledge of my husband, I was able to restore all my library from some hidden storage of files. But if you don’t want to loose your collection of recipes better use something else, this thing may remove everything by some wiered combination of buttons.
